Woodson's Mill is open to the public on the first Saturday of the month during the summer (May 4, June 1, July 6, and August 3). We are open from 10am-4pm. Our products are also available at regional retailers and always online. Please contact us any time; you can reach us at grits@woodsonsmill.com. Come see us this summer! If you would like to visit the Mill during business hours, it is located just east of Lowesville, Virginia on Route 778, 45 minutes south of Charlottesville and 30 minutes north of Lynchburg. To get here:

From Charlottesville:

Take Route 29 South
Turn on Route 56 West/Tye Brook Highway (6 miles).
Turn left on Route 151 South/Patrick Henry Highway (.5 miles).
Turn right on State Route 778/Lowesville Road (2.5 miles).
Woodson’s Mill is on the right, at 3211 Lowesville Road.

From Lynchburg:

Take Route 29 North
Turn on Route 56 West/Tye Brook Highway (6 miles).
Turn left on Route 151 South/Patrick Henry Highway (.5 miles).
Turn right on State Route 778/Lowesville Road (2.5 miles).
Woodson’s Mill is on the right, at 3211 Lowesville Road.

Woodson’s Mill is a historic landmark. Please be kind to it during your visit, so that it lasts another 200 years.

Please enjoy the Mill’s immediate grounds during business hours, but remember that the rest of the grounds and the lake are part of a private residence.
